Czech Republic Trip 2017
The Golem and the White Lady
THE FOLLOWING ITINERARY IS FROM A PAST SOCIETY TRIP, AND IS PRESENTED FOR INTEREST ONLY, TO ILLUSTRATE THE TYPE OF TRIP THAT THE SOCIETY ORGANISES OUTSIDE THE UNITED KINGDOM
Five nights in Bohemia and Prague
Tuesday 30th May to Sunday 4th June 2017
A six-day "ghosts and Golem" trip to the Czech Republic, staying two nights in Cesky Krumlov in South Bohemia, and three nights in Prague, the beautiful historic Czech capital. The UNESCO World Heritage city of Cesky Krumlov is bisected by the Vltava River, and crowned by a spectacular 13th century castle. Prague is known for its many spires, Gothic churches, medieval astronomical clock, and of course – the Golem!
En route between the two cities, we will visit the "home" of the Czech Republic’s most famous ghost, the White Lady, at the Renaissance Chateau of Jindrichuv Hradec.
Tuesday 30th May: Day One
Cesky Krumlov
We fly from London Stansted to Linz, Austria, then cross the border by coach to Cesky Krumlov in the Czech Republic.
Following a lunch break, we enjoy a guided tour of Cesky Krumlov Castle. Check into our hotel for a two night stay. Free time, followed by dinner at a local restaurant (included).

Return to Cesky Krumlov to our hotel. Evening at leisure.

We then continue our journey to Tabor, with free time for lunch and to explore the city. Leaving Tabor we will drive on to the castle of Zvikov before continuing on to Prague for a three night stay. Evening meal included either at our hotel or a local restaurant.
